About the Founder

The American healthcare system is increasingly specialized, scientifically advanced, and fragmented to the point of failure.

Despite decades of progress, rates of depression, anxiety, and chronic illness continue to rise. Something essential is missing.

What we need most is a philosophy of wholeness and an education that brings the pieces back together where they have always belonged. Mind and body are not separate. Head and heart are not separate. Meaning and mood are not separate. Science and spirit are not separate. The path toward health runs through integration, not further division.

HFPI was built on that conviction.

Emma Donovan is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified Coach, Board Certified Holistic Nutritionist, and NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider with a decade of integrative practice. She has graduate education in human nutrition and functional medicine. She is completing a Doctorate in Whole Health Leadership at Southern California University of Health Sciences.

Her formation is deliberately wide and spans functional medicine, nutrition, depth psychology, spiritual counseling, whole health, and contemplative study, shaped by living and training across cultures: studying yoga in India, mindfulness in Thailand, and shamanism in Ecuador.

She founded HFPI because she believes the road to health is through wholeness, not fragmentation.

Clinician Perspectives

Although my education in natural medicine was very thorough, I was looking for a practicum experience to help integrate the information. I am leaving confident and feel equipped with the experience I needed to support my clients.

- Roxanne, DNM, LCDC, HFPI clinical training participant

I feel more confident incorporating holistic wellness practices into my clinical work and providing the research and rationale behind these practices.

- Brittany Coppelli, LPC, HFPI clinical training participant

Emma’s training was wonderfully illuminating, combining science-backed research and direct clinical applications. Her expertise and communication skills deliver on a vital topic for all of us, applicable in both our professional and personal lives.

- Michael Salinas, LPC, HFPI clinical training participant

HFPI envisions a world where true psychological wellness is possible - where care is whole-person, evidence-based, and deeply transformative for both clients and clinicians.
