Frequently Asked Questions

Is this only for therapists? Yes. It’s designed for licensed or pre-licensed therapists and is also open to mental health graduate students. Others may enroll, but the focus is on therapeutic practice. If you're not already a therapist, this training doesn't entitle you to call yourself one.

Will my state licensing board accept this training for CE credit? The live version is NBCC-approved (SP-4926) for 3 CE hours, which is accepted by many boards. We recommend confirming with your state board, but NBCC credit is widely accepted across the U.S. in many fields, including clinical psychologists, counselors, social workers, and marriage and family therapists.

Can I get CE credit if I watch the replay? The live event is fully approved by NBCC, but is not approved for on-demand. However, many state boards accept on demand training with proof of participation (via quiz and evaluation). Check with your licensing board to confirm.

What if I can’t attend live? Can I just sign up for this another time? If this training speaks to you, I strongly encourage you to register now. It's not currently scheduled to run again, and space is limited. By signing up today, you’ll secure your spot and access to the replay, even if you can’t attend live. Don’t miss the opportunity to access these powerful tools while they’re available.

Will I receive a certificate? Yes. You'll receive a certificate after attending the live session or, if attending the replay, after completing the quiz and evaluation.

Do I need any prior training in holistic health? Not at all. This training is beginner-friendly and also deep enough for experienced holistic clinicians.

Will I leave with tools I can use immediately, or is this just dry theoretical stuff? Yes, you can use it immediately. You’ll receive worksheets, therapist guides, questionnaires, sample language, and a client wellness assessment tool (the HMWQ) that you can begin using in sessions right away.

Will this training help me stay within my scope of practice as a therapist? Yes. That's one of the core pillars of the training. Other trainings in holistic health, functional medicine, and nutrition do NOT have therapists in mind, leaving therapists feeling shaky and uncertain about how to apply the material to practice. This training changes that. You'll learn how to confidently integrate holistic tools within your existing scope, and know when it’s appropriate to refer out. We also provide sample language for informed consent and documentation that reflects ethical, board-aligned language.

I already have training in holistic health. Will this still be useful? Absolutely. This training helps you bridge the gap between general holistic knowledge and what’s specifically applicable (and ethical) in clinical therapy settings. It’s especially valuable if you’ve taken trainings geared toward coaches, yoga teachers, fitness professionals, nutrition professionals, or the general public, but aren’t sure how to apply that knowledge as a therapist.
