Frequently Asked Questions

What if I want to attend, but can't make it live?

No problem! The training will also be offered on-demand. Simply register, and you’ll automatically receive access to the recorded version as soon as it becomes available.

Are Continuing Education credits available?

Depending on your state licensing board, CE credits may be applicable. For example, the Missouri LPC board allows content that supports clinical practice and professional development to count toward CE requirements. You will be provided with a certificate of completion and a course outline to submit to your board if needed. Always check with your specific board to confirm eligibility.

Is this training action-oriented? Will I be able to use this information in practice?

Yes! While you’ll get a strong foundation in sleep science and mental health, this training is intentionally designed to be practical. You’ll walk away with client-ready tools, including the Holistic Sleep Questionnaire, screening instruments, and intervention ideas you can use in your sessions. My goal is to help you feel confident implementing the tools into practice immediately.

Is this training about insomnia?

Not exclusively. While some tools and frameworks will support clients with insomnia, this training goes beyond the insomnia diagnosis. It’s designed for therapists working with clients who struggle with stress, anxiety, trauma, depression, or burnout, all of which often involve disrupted sleep. Even clients who don’t report sleep problems may benefit from optimizing sleep patterns as part of their healing process.

What is the Holistic Sleep Questionnaire?

The HSQ is a proprietary assessment tool I developed to help you explore behavioral and environmental sleep factors with your clients. It takes a whole-person approach: looking at light exposure, stress, circadian and hormonal rhythms, sleep-disruptive inputs, blue light, sleep routines, and more. By enrolling in this training, you’ll receive permission to use the HSQ with your individual clients, along with guidance on how to interpret it and apply it in practice.

Is this training appropriate for newer therapists or graduate students?
Yes. The content is accessible, evidence-informed, and relevant for therapists at all stages. If you're still in training or early in your career, this can be a great way to integrate lifestyle and behavioral approaches into your foundational work.
